One of the downsides of having such a large matching pool is that it may incentivize bad actors to game the system through Sybil attacks and other actions. The verification component of the q/acc protocol mitigates this in large part, however there remains some vulnerability.

Here are some actions that can reduce or compromise eligibility for matching funds:

• Offering quid-pro-quo for a contribution: It is not allowed to give/offer goods or services to donors in exchange for their support. This includes raffles or other offers that attempt to “game the system”.
• Creating a new identity to contribute: This includes creating multiple wallets for one user, or pretending to be multiple unique supporters.
• Recirculating funds: Only “first-touch” contributions are eligible to be included in matching rounds.
• Unscrupulous or fraudulent activity. This can be the use of violence, breaking laws, or other behavior that does not uphold the values of the Giveth community.
• Attempting to falsify a contribution
