Fraud Protection

Giveth Quadratic Funding rounds are supported and protected thanks to Gitcoin’s Model Based Detection System, Gitcoin Passport and Cluster Match QF.

Donor QF-Eligibility

Donors will need to verify their qf-eligibility to ensure their donation is eligible for matching. To learn more check out the following page:

Cluster Match QF

Giveth is using a new iteration on quadratic funding called Connection-Oriented Cluster Match to determine the matching funds distribution. This version of QF puts donors into clusters based on their donation behavior to better protect against Sybil attacks while more effectively rewarding cooperation across social differences.

To read about cluster match QF in more detail, check out our forum post.

Payout & KYC

Once the round is finished and the Sybil analysis is complete, the final results will be posted on the Giveth forum. There will be an advice process for 3-5 business days where feedback and discussion are encouraged. Afterwards, a Snapshot vote will be posted by Giveth to ratify the round results.

After the round results are ratified, the matching funds will be distributed from ThankARB to the projects’ recipient addresses on Arbitrum One.

NOTE: All projects that are allocated 2000 ARB or more in matching funds will be required to complete KYC before ThankARB can distribute the funds. It will require 3 steps:

 1. Proof of residence

 2. Proof of identity

 3. Liveness check

The actual matching amount sent to each project post-round will be shown on the Projects Donations tab, under the corresponding round filter.

It will take at least 2-3 weeks for the data to be reviewed before matching funds are sent out.
