GIVpower can be thought of as a web3 donation game — it uses web3 incentives to rally support for, and drive more donations to, public goods projects. GIVpower gamifies project curation using scores, multipliers and real-time impact measurements. With GIVpower, users can compete to boost their favorite projects to a higher rank.
All you need to do is just stake your GIV tokens into the GIVfarm. Not only will you be earning yield rewards, but you will also receive GIVpower that you can use to boost your favorite projects. Even better, the multiplier that you receive for ‘locking’ your tokens also applies to your GIVpower!
You can use your GIVpower to “boost” verified projects on the platform. Verified projects are ranked on the platform based on how much GIVpower was allocated to them in the previous round. Projects benefit from a higher ranking by appearing higher on the list of Giveth projects and also yield more GIVbacks to their donors.
When you are on the project page, you can click the ‘🚀 Boost’ button to assign your GIVpower.
