This document outlines the minimum eligibility requirements and critical context for organizations or teams interested in operating funding rounds with TheDAO Security Fund.

It is intended as a pre-application reference.

If you cannot meet the requirements below, you should not apply.

What Is a Round Operator?

Round Operators are ecosystem partners who design and operate DAO-native funding rounds that:

• Allocate capital toward Ethereum & L2 security
• Experiment with and improve web3 / DAO funding mechanisms
• Work collaboratively with TheDAO Security Fund, Giveth, the Ethereum Foundation, and other funders

Rounds are independent, vary in scope and mechanism, and are run by different operators over time.

1. Non-Negotiable Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible, a proposed round must meet all of the following:

1.1 Ethereum Security Focus

Rounds must primarily support Ethereum mainnet and/or Ethereum L2 security.

Examples include (but are not limited to):

• Smart contract auditing & tooling
• Phishing prevention & user protection
• Whitehat operations & incident response
• Security research & analysis
